Cody Woodle, 7th grader at Smokey Road Middle School, was one of the 7 winners of the USS Georgia Student Art Competition for middle school.  The them of the competition was Bringing the USS Georgia Home: Celebrating Georgia's Ambassadors for Peace .  This is to recognize the arrival of the USS Georgia (SSGN 729), a newly converted guided missile submarine, at it's permanent station.  His artwork will be on display at the USS Georgia Return to Service Ceremony held at Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, on March 28, 2008.
