EMC Bright Ideas Grant

Smokey Road Middle School Art Teacher, Mrs. Whitney Garner, received a $1,500 “Bright Ideas” grant from Coweta-Fayette EMC. Mrs. Garner will use the grant money to help students study Impressionistic art by drawing, painting, and writing about this distinct artistic style.

For the past three years, a Smokey Road Middle School teacher has received EMC's Bright Ideas grant with Instructional Support Teacher, Mrs. Audrey Anglin, receiving the award last year and 6 th grade literature teacher, Ms. Shawn Allen, receiving the award in 2007-2008.
