Summary of Past or Planned Activities: Students will participate in meetings that are held once a month throughout the year. They will be creating works of art individually and as a group using different materials and techniques. |

Mission or Purpose: To encourage youth with academic potential to stay in school, graduate from high school, and undertake a program of post-secondary education
Summary of Past or Planned Activities: Students participate in group meetings, academic support groups, counseling, and test taking wrokshops.
Will meet twice a month during connections.

Mission or Purpose: To provide a forum for athletes to share their faith with one another (interdenominational).

Mission or Purpose: To provide students with the opportunity to explore careers in education.

Jr. Citizen's Police Academy
Advisor: Chris Segrest
Mission or Purpose: To better acquaint young people with the workings of their local police department as well as other emergency services and to break down barriers between law enforcement and young people
Summary of Past or Planned Activities: Students participate in meetings throughout the year.
Cadets learn about Georgia Law, juvenile law, criminal investigation, the Judicial system and other subjects related to law enforcement.

March of Dimes

Mission or Purpose: To improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality
Summary of Past or Planned Activities: Students participate in meetings that provide information, resources, referrals and data intended to assist the public in having healthy pregnancies and healthy births.

Mission or Purpose: To provide students the opportunity to support the Media Center, to learn about the Internet for research, and to link divergent Internet resources like online periodical databases, inter-library loan catalogs, and web page resources

Mission or Purpose: To promote cultural diversity and an understanding of other cultures and their customs.
Summary of Past or Planned Activities: Students will participate in meetings throughout the year that involve enriching our student body, faculty, and staff with knowledge of other cultures and customs througha variety of social activities.

Oratorical Contest
Advisor: Cindy Valentine
Mission or Purpose: To promote excellence in public speaking. Sponsored by the Newnan Optimist Club, the contest requires students to write and deliver a 3 to 5 minute speech on a given topic.
Summary of Past or Planned Activities: The top male student and the top female student advance from the school to the county competition. The top male and female at the county competition can advance to the district. Eventually, after progressing through a state and a regional competition, a representative is chosen for national and international competition. |
Spelling Bee
Advisor: Cecilia Walker
Mission or Purpose: To encourage the teaching and study of spelling.
Summary of Past or Planned Activities: Students participate in grade and school level competitions and have the opportunity to advance to state level competitions. |
Student Government Association

Summary of Past or Planned Activities: Students participate in a representative panel for decision-making and host school activities.
Members are elected by their fellow students annually. |
