Parents who secured a spot in one of the
Coweta County School System’s 2009-10 Pre-Kindergarten classes
began registering their children for school at the Central
Registration Center this week, and registration will continue
throughout April.
Pre-K registration will be held on different weeks in April,
depending on which elementary school a child will attend (check
the calendar below for details).
Early registration for new Kindergarten students will be held
separately throughout May, also depending on which elementary
school a child will attend.
Coweta elementary schools held drawings on March 20 to place
4-year-old students in the limited-space Pre-Kindergarten
classes. Parents whose names were placed on a waiting list for
the classes will be notified by the school if an opening occurs
following registration.
Coweta County’s private Pre-K providers are also registering
students for next year. Parents who would like a list of local
Pre-K providers may call Dr. David Gregory or Heather McMillan
at 770-254-2800.
New student registration is held at the Central Registration
Center at 167 Werz Boulevard in Newnan (call 770-254-5551 for
more details, or visit www.cowetaschools.org/registration).

to be eligible for next year’s Pre-K, and must be five years old

Parents whose child was drawn for a limited-space pre-K class on
March 20 should call the Central Registration Center at
770-254-5551 to make an appointment to register their child
during their school’s registration week, so as not to lose their
child’s spot in the class.
Kindergarten classes do not have the same limitations as Pre-K
classes. Parents who plan to register their child for
Kindergarten in May are also urged to call ahead for an
appointment to reduce their wait times.
